Grief Support Groups & Family Activities

Youth, Teens and Their Families - Ongoing

    Charlie Brown’s Kids - Call 483-1845 for more information
  • A free, non-profit support group for children 3 to 18 who have experienced the death of a parent. Meets on Thursdays from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
    Mourning Hope Programs – Call 488-8989 for more information
  • Summer Grief Series (6 weeks) meets on Tuesday evenings beginning June 9 – July 14 from 6:30-8:00 p.m.
  • Fall Grief Series (10 weeks) meets on Monday evenings beginning September 14 - November 23 from 6:30-8:00 p.m.
  • Late Fall Grief Series (10 weeks) meets on Tuesday evenings beginning November 3 - January 5 from 6:30-8:00 p.m.

  • Art From Our Heart is for ages Kindergarten through 5th grade
  • July 18th from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • August 1st from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Family Reunion on September 20 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Adults – Ongoing Programming

    AseraCare Hospice Programs – Contact Nancy Gabelman at 488-1363 or 1-800-3841 for more information
  • A support group for younger widows and widowers ages 30-60 meets the second Monday of the month from 5:30-7:00 p.m.
    Hospice of Tabitha Programs – Contact Becky Lindsay RN, Bereavement Coordinator, Hospice of Tabitha at 402.484.9692 for more times and dates of current groups or for more information.
  • Offer 3 -eight week sessions of ‘Growing Through Grief Support Groups’ each year. The groups vary in meeting times, usually there is an afternoon group and an evening group each year. Groups are 2 hours in length and each week there is a topic to learn about and discuss within the group.

Adults – Special Programs

    AseraCare Hospice Programs – Contact Nancy Gabelman at 488-1363 or 1-800-3841 for more information
  • A one grief workshop for adults who have lost a parent is offered 2-3 times a year through AseraCare Hospice
  • A grief workshop for adults who are grieving over the holidays is offered in November and December
