Youth, Teens and Their Families - Ongoing

- A free, non-profit support group for children 3 to 18 who have experienced the death of a parent. Meets on Thursdays from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Mourning Hope Programs – Call 488-8989 for more information
Mourning Hope’s programs and services are designed to serve all children, teens, young adults and their caregivers in southeast Nebraska who have experienced the serious illness or death of a loved one. Visit the Center’s website at: www.mourninghope.org for specific schedule information. All Mourning Hope programs are free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required.
- Summer Grief Series - The 10-week Family Grief Series is designed for families with youth ages 5 through college age who have experienced the death of a loved one. Tuesday evenings beginning June 9 – July 14 from 6:30-8:00 p.m.
- Second Saturdays - Open to new and returning families, this is a great way to find out what Mourning Hope is like or to reconnect with families from prior sessions. Sessions run the second Saturday morning of each month from 9:30-11:00 a.m.

- Offer six-week sessions of ‘Growing Through Grief Support Groups’ each year, usually in spring and fall. The groups vary in meeting times, but an attempt is made to have an afternoon group and an evening group each seasonal offering. Groups are 2 hours in length, and each week a topic is presented to build coping skills and to discuss within the group. Groups typically meet on Thursdays.

- A one-evening grief workshop for adults who are grieving during the holidays is frequently offered to teach coping techniques and skills, as well as present holiday celebration options, in November or December A four-week, all-male grief group is offered on Mondays in April to address the specific needs of men who are actively grieving the loss of loved ones.
